Saturday Scrounging Finds

Hello Friends!  It has been quite awhile since I shared any of my "Saturday Scrounging" finds with you.  As you all know, I love to find a good deal.  Here are some of the things I have collected lately.  Hope you enjoy looking at my little treasure finds!

I love vintage playing cards. My paternal grandparents were card players and seeing vintage cards reminds me of them.    I purchased  these from a Estate Sale for $2.00.

I found this vintage tea set at an Estate Sale for $8.00.  It just screamed "Spring"!

This vintage bread box is in excellent shape and was a road side trash find!  Cost - $0.  Seriously, a dear friend of mine found this in a trash pile on the side of the road! She was so sweet to give it to me!   I love it.

I have always wanted one of these wire baskets for my kitchen but never saw any for sale anywhere.  When I saw this one marked for $2.00 at the Antique and Thrift Store, I knew it was time to snag it up.

I found this old radio on our local online Yard Sale site for $4.00.  I did some research and it was made by   General Electric in 1947.  I need to clean it up a little, but I just loved the way it looked!  It's a pretty large size too.
These two little birds just chirped out to me when I saw them.  They were only $2.99 for the pair at our local Antique and Thrift Store.

This hummingbird feeder came from the  same trash pile that my friend lucked up on.   The bird feeders pictured below were also retrieved from the same place.  One of the bird feeders was still new in the box.   Hey .. it pays to go scrounging!  I had planned on buying a few more humming bird and bird feeders anyhow.  How can you get a better price than free?

I hope you have enjoyed  my little treasures.  Thanks for looking!

  2. Wish I had known you wanted a wire basket hanger for your kitchen. We found one at my mom's this past weekend (unopened) while finishing up clean up before selling. :( Nobody wanted it so I think we left it on top of the cabinet.
