Fall/Thanksgiving Arrangements

I decided to make a few fall arrangements this weekend.  There is a story behind the flowers I used in the arrangements.  My mother passed away from cancer 2 years ago this month.  She lived at our house with us during her last month or so of life.  She was on hospice and basically unresponsive for about  3 weeks.  During that time, I decided to make her casket spray.  It was a very emotional time and making that spray for her casket was the last thing I ever got to make for her.  I have kept it in storage for the last 2 years and decided that I needed to do something with it.  So here is what I put together with some of the flowers.

Dining room table decoration. I still have to sew up my table runner.

Kitchen wall decoration

This was the spray on Mom's casket.

    1. Christy -- You were busy putting together the bird puzzle while I was doing this. Hope glued that puzzle together and still has it. Sad time for us all -- but we knew what God had in store for mom and we know where she is now!

  3. Awesome job as always, Cathy! I think of you often but moreso this month. We both lost our Mom's within weeks of each other. Love you girl! Tammy

  4. I've never seen a casket spray that can compare. I'm sure your Mama would be pleased that you have re-purposed the beautiful flowers. Good job, my friend.
