APPLE- GREEN AND RED CHRISTMAS WREATH
I made this Christmas wreath with a special friend in mind. I hope she likes it. I am really happy with the end result. I love the frosty branches, the green berries and the "loopy looking" christmas picks at the top. For some reason, I am really into this bright apple-green color this year. It just looks so festive to me!

Christmas Decorating has started at the Crosson home!
Good Morning! I hope all of you are further along with your Christmas shopping and decorating than I am! I feel like I have SO much more to do and SO little time! Since Tracy has been gone on his annual Hunting Trip this week -- I thought it would be a good time to get things going. As you can see, I finished sewing up my quilted stockings! ( I really love them.) I know you are probably wondering.. where is the tree? Well.. let's just say I am still working on that. It's up.. but I am still deciding on a tree skirt.
Thanks for looking! I would love to see some of your decorations!

Christmas Stocking made from vintage quilt top -- Tutorial
I was given a couple of vintage quilt tops that were sewn by two special ladies in our family. (Aunt Ella and Aunt Jessie) I think they were put together sometime in the 1950's. They were given to me about 8 years ago and I thought I would eventually have them quilted. However, they were in pretty bad shape and needed alot of repair. I am very sentimental about certain things.. so I just kept hanging on to them. I had them folded up and displayed in a basket. I have always wanted to make something special with them.. so I finally came up with a way to use them. Now-- here they are and I have included a few instructions on how to make some of your own!
I love how they turned out. Now, I just have 4 more to go!
Cut out a stocking pattern (I just traced around a stocking I already had)
Double your fabric, put your stocking pattern on top and cut out 2 stockings
Do the same thing with your lining for your stocking
Sew your stocking right sides together using 1/2 inch seams down both sides and around bottom.
Now.. I used this youtube video to put it all together. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3-25luiSNhE
She does a wonderful job of explaining how to put it together. Just remember that because you are using a quilted piece, you DO need to pin it down before you sew around. All the seams make it a little harder to sew without pinning. Good luck and let me know if you make any! Thanks!

Thankful for my Stampin' Up friends!
On Sunday we had our monthly" Stampin up" Make and Take at Robin's house. (Thanks, Robin!) It's always SO much fun and this one was extra special. Robin had her home decorated beautifully for the holidays. We had a Christmas card swap, made 4 beautiful cards and an amazing scrapbook page. Everyone brought snacks and we enjoyed some delicious finger foods! I just love all the ladies in our class and we always have such a good time laughing and stampin' together. I adore the cards I received in this swap. I am going to have a hard time ever giving them away-- they are so special to me because my friends made them. (so I will probably just keep them!) Thought you might enjoy seeing some of the cards. The pictures really don't do them justice. (I am asking for a new camera from Santa!)
These are the cards and scrapbook page we made:
Here are all the cards and the designer's name from the swap:
