Poor, Poor, Pitiful Me....

Hello friends!  I hope you have all been doing well and enjoying your Spring.   Several of my bloggin' buddies have emailed me asking where I have been.  Unfortunately, I have been battling  severe carpal tunnel syndrome.  I had the nerve test (EMG) performed last week on my hands and feet.  (I am diabetic so the doctor wanted to check my feet too.)   I was really nervous about the test because I had been told it was painful.   Seems I was told wrong.  It was not just painful -- it was torture!  I was sore for three days afterward and could barely move my hands and feet.  I have an appointment tomorrow to see the doctor.   So -- for those reasons -- I have not been crafting much lately.  I really am depressed about it.  I have so many projects that I wanted to finish.  I was in the middle of making a quilt and a scrapbook for my daughter's graduation gift. (which is in three weeks = ain't gonna happen).  I have braces that I wear on my hands at night and I take medication and apply ice daily. I have had this problem off and on for about three years.  It suddenly flared up and got out of control over the last two months.   I am SO hoping that the doctor can do something to relieve the pain through surgery or therapy.  I miss my crafting and my blogging world.  In the meantime; I will still be visiting your sites and enjoying the wonderful things you are making.  Say a prayer that I will get relief and be able to return to what I truly enjoy  very soon!  Thanks!

Easter Scrapbook Page

I hope you all had a wonderful Easter.  We had a family gathering that was wonderful.  I can't wait to get my pictures printed and put into this new scrapbook page I made.  I used the Stampin Up set "Happy together' and scrapbook pages from "My Minds' Eye" (Penny Lane series).  I had so much fun making it that I am doing addition pages  today.

Easter Basket Idea

I can't believe Easter is next Sunday.  Although my girls are grown, I still  enjoy making them an Easter basket.  This year, I found these adorable baskets at SewingMachine.com and had them engraved with their initials.  I can  share Hannah's basket with you because she received hers early.  She won't be coming home for Easter. ( I will share the other two after Easter is over.)  I really like these baskets and I know the girls will put them to good use!

Hannah loves the specialty soap from West Point Soap Shoppe.  I also got her some "springy" colored  fingernail polish and a pair of cozy aloe infused socks.  The giant  orange towel is for sunbathing this summer and I plan to have her name monogrammed on it.
Thanks for poppin' in.  I hope you have as much fun putting your Easter basket together as I did!

Mug Rug Parade

Don't you just love it when you make something that really comes in handy?  Well... I have made a few mug rugs in the past and I use the one on my desk every work day.  I  place my phone,  snack and drink on it.  My favorite mug rug has blue polka dots and three strawberries on it.  My mother used to have strawberries in her kitchen and it reminds me so much of her.  I smile and think of her every time I see it.  Mug Rugs are a lot of fun to make.  It's like a tiny little quilt.  Have you ever tried to make one?  If not, you should! Youtube has tutorials so get started!   They are so fun and easy to make.  Here a few that I have put together over the past year or so.  Hope you enjoy!

Hope you enjoyed my little parade of Mug Rugs.  Come back soon!

Pinwheel Wreath

Good afternoon Bloggin' friends!  It's such a beautiful day outside.  I have been doing a little "springin' up" around my house and realized I needed a spring wreath.  Since making the pinwheels for Hannah's birthday party -- I have been wanting to make some more.  They are just so springy to  me!  To make this wreath:  I used a styrofoam ring, wrapped it in pink and white ribbon,  and just poked the pinwheels in with pushpins.  I hot glued buttons on top  to hide the red pushpins I used.  ( I cut my paper squares 5 x 5 to make the pinwheels.)   Hope you like it!  Thanks for stopping by.
